A Different Take On Bail Building

I had this crazy idea and was wondering what others might think of it. Straw bail construction is great especially out west where straw is cheaper but in urban areas straw can become expensive, especially here in North Carolina where we've suffered record drought and are currently importing straw from western Canada 2000 miles away.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone ever considered replacing the straw with used plastic bags? I realize that recycling the bags might be a better choice but nationwide the vast majority of plastic bags end up in landfills.

Any thoughts?

I have heard and read about tyres being recycled and forming walls in an 'earthshelter', but plastic bags? Not sure of the practicality.

How about this:

"Built from local earth-filled Superadobe coils (soil-cement or lime-stabilized earth)."
